Meals On Wheels is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Senior Nutrition Program, designed to serve home-bound seniors over 60 years old in the Livingston County area who are unable to plan, shop, or prepare meals for themselves due to post-op surgery, illness, disability, or advanced age. Our meals are prepared and packaged by the Livingston County Senior Nutrition staff under strict dietary supervision. All of the meals we serve meet one-third of the daily nutritional needs of a senior adult and are approved by the Area Agency on Aging 1-B. Volunteer drivers then proceed along their well-diagrammed route to deliver to our seniors in their homes and apartments within Livingston County Monday through Friday, with frozen meals provided for weekends. Our program serves meals to more than 600 seniors every day. We also provide hot lunches at local senior centers. Senior centers offer fellowship and socialization. Lunch and activities schedules vary by center. Call your local s enior center to make lunch reservations.
